To File an Illegal Dumping Report Online:
- Illegal Dumping: Willfully or intentionally depositing, dropping, dumping, placing, or throwing onto public or private property. Illegal dumping is reported and handled by the City of Los Angeles Department of Sanitation. Please to file a report.
Your incident must meet the following criteria:
- The incident is not an emergency.
- The incident occurred within the City of Los Angeles.
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- No one was injured as a result of this incident.
- There are no known suspects.
- The incident did not occur on the state highway.
- No firearms were involved in the incident.
- You must have internet access and an email address.

- Filing a false police report is a crime. Anyone filing a false police report may be prosecuted under California Penal Code section 148.5 PC. Filing a false police report is punishable by imprisonment in county jail not exceeding 6 months, or by fine not exceeding $1,000, or by both.
Police Service Of Salinas
Welcome to the Salinas Police Departments Online Police Reporting system. The purpose of this site is to allow Salinas residents to file a report online without having to come into the police department. This website should never be used to report an emergency, a crime in progress, or any type of injury. Once you file a report, a temporary incident number will be assigned until the report is reviewed. Once approved, you will receive an actual incident number and have the ability to print a copy for your records. You must have a valid email.

Upon Completion Of This Report Process You Will:
- See the words: “Your online police report has been submitted”.
- You will then immediately receive a temporary police report file number and an email informing you that we have received your report and that it is pending review. A temporary file number will appear in this format: T11000999. Temporary file numbers cannot be used for insurance purposes.
- If you do not receive an email with a temporary file number, please check your Spam or Junk-Email folder.
- A police officer will review your report and either Approve, Reject or request additional follow-up information from you. You will be advised via email of the status of your report. Do not reply via email to any of these automated messages as these accounts are not monitored. Follow the directions provided on how to respond regarding your report.
- Once your report is approved, you will receive a permanent report number – this number appears in this format: 11-123456.
- Be able to print a copy of the police report to keep for your records only. This copy cannot be used for insurance purposes.
Instructions For Making A Report Online

Please make sure to turn off your pop-up blocking software, or add this site to your pop-up blocker exception list, before filing the report. This system utilizes pop-up windows to complete online reports.
Upon completion of the initial online report process, you will:
- See the words: “Your online report has been submitted” showing that your police report is complete.
- Be given a temporary case number.
- Be able to print a copy of the temporary police report to keep for your records.
Please note:
- You must have a valid email address to file a report online
- All incidents reported online will be reviewed by police personnel before your report will be accepted.
- Once your report has been approved, a case number will be assigned and you will receive a PDF copy of the official police report as an email attachment .
- If further investigation is needed, you may be contacted by police personnel.
- Reports that are incomplete or do not meet the minimum reporting requirements as specified above will be rejected.

Using Online Police Reports
The following reports are appropriate for filing an Online Police Report:

- Attempted Auto Theft or Vehicle Tampering
- Vehicle Burglary
- Harassing Phone Calls
- Identity Theft
To use the online reports form, please confirm:
It is NOT an emergency.
The incident does not involve domestic violence, child abuse, elder abuse, or a stolen vehicle.
The incident occurred within Stockton city limits.
If you answered “yes” to all of the above questions, you can file your report online.
Upon completing the report, print a free copy of the report for your records and look for:
- Confirmation text: “Your report has been submitted.”
- Temporary case number
You Cannot File A Report Online If
- A threat was made or violence was used during the incident. If you are in immediate danger, please dial 911. If you are no longer in danger, please call us at 613-236-1222, extension 7300.
- Evidence was left on the scene such as, but not limited to blood, tools, clothes or any item related to the incident. Please call 613-236-1222, extension 7300 to file a report.
- The incident being reported did not happen in Ottawa. Please contact the police service in the city where the incident happened to file a report.
- The stolen property is a passport
- The property lost is a cell phone, licence plate, bank card or government issued identification, with or without a serial number. Please contact your service provider to get a replacement.

When Should I Call Police Instead
- If you have a known suspect. If you know the name or address of the suspect, or if you know the license plate of the vehicle associated to the suspect, please contact Peel Regional Police at 905-453-3311
- If the value of theft, loss or property damage is more than $10,000.00
- If your vehicle has been stolen
- If the incident occurred outside of Brampton or Mississauga. Please contact the police service responsible for the area in which the incident occurred
- If someone broke into, or attempted to break into your home, garage or business
- If this is the theft or loss of a firearm
- If this is related to any form of personal violence, including domestic violence.
- If this is related to any kind of vandalism or graffiti that could be hate motivated
- If this is related to a traffic complaint that is in progress
Reports You Cannot Submit Online
- Robbery
- House and business break and enters
- Domestic disputes
- Theft of a vehicle
- Any type of fraud resulting in the loss of funds/personal information or property, including fraudulent use of debit or credit cards
- Incidents that involve lost / stolen citizenship cards, permanent resident cards, immigration documents, government cheques, or cash from the government
- Incidents involving firearms
- Stolen property for sale online such as on Kijiji, Craigslist, Facebook, etc.

Using this web-based reporting system allows you to submit a crime report over the internet immediately and print a copy of the report for free. Please confirm the following to find out if online filing is right for you by asking yourself the following questions. You Can Also Go Online To File A Supplemental Report

File a supplemental report if you want to add information to your original report or to a report that has previously been filed by an SFPD officer. To file a supplemental police report, click on the “File a Police Report” link above, select the appropriate incident type, follow the prompted questions, and select ‘supplemental report’ when prompted.
Use the supplemental report method to report:
- Additional property losses from the same crime
- Additional details to describe stolen property, such as a serial number.
When you have finished entering your report, a temporary report will be emailed to you. This report will not be official until it is approved. Once that happens, we will email you an official copy.

In order for the Toronto Police Service to process your CORE report, the following information is MANDATORY
- Your EMAIL ADDRESS, PHONE NUMBER and other contact information.
- The INCIDENT START AND END DATE
- The LOCATION of the incident, including the place or area your property was believed stolen.
- Please CREATE A SEPARATE PROPERTY ENTRY for EACH piece of property that you are reporting stolen.
The accuracy of the information you provide in the report greatly assists the Toronto Police Service in investigating your report. Please ensure it is as COMPLETE AND CONCISE as possible.

- This is not an Emergency
- The incident does not involve personal violence nor a hate crime
- You must have a valid email address to use this system. Your email address will not be used for any other purpose.
- There are no known suspects – either person or vehicle – and there is no visible physical evidence at the scene
- If the incident occurred on a provincial highway or outside the Saskatoon Police Service jurisdictional limits – refer to the FAQ.
- Only the below types of reports are allowed to be completed online – see definitions for each type.
- Reports may not be filed on behalf of a 3rd party except in the case of children. Reports must be filed by the actual complainant, owner or authorized representative.
