MVSR regulations state that no license is required to own or operate an electric bike in most cases, though there are exceptions in certain provinces. Because of the power and speed limitations, electric bikes are considered safer and easier to maneuver than motor vehicles that can reach higher speeds. Police radar can be operated in a stationery position or moving vehicle. Most states allow radar to be operated by a patrol officer while driving .
