    Niagara Regional Police are looking for a woman after reports of a police officer asking a resident for expired or unwanted medication in a retirement home in Lincoln.

    Officers from the Grimsby detachment were called to Heritage Village for a suspicious person report on Dec. 17.

    They learned that at about 8 p.m., a resident answered a knock on the door and was met by a woman who stated she was a Niagara Regional Police officer. The woman wore a jacket labelled Police on the front and back but did not produce a badge or any other identification.

    The woman told the resident that she was on a drug initiative and was collecting pharmaceutical drugs and prescriptions that were no longer wanted or needed. The woman said she would take the drugs and deliver them to a pharmacy for disposal.

    A short time later, the female left the area in a newer black Ford SUV. The Ford SUV had reflective tape with the word Police on it, but there were no other markings or decals visible. The woman did not receive any drugs from the resident.

    She is described as a white female, about 40 years of age, five-foot-eight and with a medium build and about 160 pounds. She had short blond hair. The investigating officers do not believe she is a police officer.
