The Prosecutor’s Office, on the 5th floor of the City Court Building, is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with limited service available after 4:30 p.m. Paper disclosure requested after 4:30 p.m. will not be available until the following business day. Jefferson Community College in New York offers both a certificate in criminal justice and two associate degree programs . The certificate program lasts about one year and includes courses in criminal administrative procedures, technical writing, psychology, sociology and more. Total cost is just over $7,000 for in-state students and $12,000 for out-of-state.
The two associate degree programs take up to two years to complete and include core classes in such topics as criminal evidence and technical writing, as well as electives covering community corrections and interviews and interrogations. Police reports can be looked up by case number by contacting either the police department making the report, or the court where the case is pending, according to Superior Court of California, County of Santa Clara. Each state has different practices regarding police report availability and what information is necessary to look them up.
Crime victims need to contact the local police agency directly to get a copy of the police report, Superior Court of California, County of Santa Clara advises. Immediately after the shooting, law enforcement officials said the shooter was able to enter Robb Elementary because a teacher had the door propped open with a rock. Video surveillance shows that wasnt true: The teacher knocked the rock out of the doorway before the shooter got to the school. The door, which could only be locked from the outside, was unlocked.
The classroom doors could also only be locked from the outside with a key.
I dont believe based on the information we have right now that that door was ever secured. In fact, I have great reason to believe it wasnt secured, McCraw said, since the shooter, who didnt have a key, could enter, exit, and then reenter the classroom, as investigators observed on video.
