The police can also search you if:
- they find you in a place where they are searching for drugs and they have reason to believe that you have drugs

The ABC7 I-Team has learned a man wanted in a domestic gunshot murder in Montgomery has been arrested in downtown Hinsdale.
MONTGOMERY, Ill. — A man wanted in Monday’s domestic gunshot murder in far west suburban Montgomery has been arrested in downtown Hinsdale, the ABC7 I-Team has learned.
The killing occurred just after noon Monday in the 1300 block-of Oak Ridge Lane according to police. A car wanted in connection with the killing was spotted by Hinsdale police this afternoon according to law enforcement sources who spoke with the I-Team.
The driver was taken into custody and a gun was found in the vehicle, the I-Team was told.
It isn’t known whether charges have been placed against the man.
Police responding to the Oak Lane address said they found someone unresponsive at the home.
ABC7 was told the incident is domestic-related and there is no threat to the public.
Police did not immediately provide further information about the shooting or victim.

A jury on Friday found Kyle Rittenhouse not guilty on all charges related to his shooting of three men on Aug. 25, 2020.
Joseph Rosenbaum, Anthony Huber, Gaige Grosskreutz and Rittenhouse had traveled to the scene of unrest in Kenosha, Wis., that night for differing reasons. Protesters had gathered there to speak out against the police shooting of Jacob Blake, a Black man who was left paralyzed after being shot by a police officer.
Rittenhouse, then 17 years old, said he had traveled from his home in Antioch, Ill., to protect private property and help as a medic.
Amid protests that had turned violent and destructive, Rittenhouse fatally shot Rosenbaum and Huber, and injured Grosskreutz, with an assault-style rifle.
More than a year later, a jury found him not guilty on five charges, including first-degree intentional homicide, in a case that has captivated, and divided, a nation.

About one-quarter of those agencies that use undertakings told us they commonly attach a no go clause. Further, provincial police detachments are twice as likely to attach a no go clause as independent municipal agencies . Not surprisingly, only 9% of the police agencies in the Atlantic provinces said that they include a no go clause. This is consistent with the previous finding that the police officers in the Atlantic provinces are less likely to use a PTA with an undertaking than police in other regions in Canada.
The condition referred to as no weapons restricts youth to not being in possession of a weapon. Only 2% of the agencies in our sample indicated they commonly attach this condition. Many officers indicated this condition is much more frequently used with adults than with youths.
