Doing The Right Thingsafely
One things for sure: David and Lisa are not alone. Concerns about personal safety and legal prosecution scare many people away, ultimately leading to them opting to keep drug crimes quiet.
But it doesnt have to be that way it is possible to report drug dealing anonymously.
Crime Stoppers is an effective national program that collects anonymous crime tips. Anyone who wants to report drug activity can contact Crime Stoppers via phone or online. A national tip line is available 24/7, and the program also operates out of local offices. Witnesses to drug crimes can make an anonymous phone call or fill out an online form. Whats more, you can rest easy knowing that all Crime Stoppers workers are trained to protect the callers identity and, instead of caller ID, all incoming phone calls are assigned a numerical code.
Crime Stoppers isnt the only way you can report drug dealing or use. Alternate options include contacting the Drug Enforcement Administration or the Department of Justice . Both have websites and phone numbers to anonymously report drug activity or submit tips through a hotline.
- As of March 2019, Crime Stoppers efforts have resulted in over 746,000 arrests, clearing out over one million legal cases.1
I Have Sent An Allegation To Olaf
After you have submitted an allegation to OLAF, you will receive an acknowledgement of receipt of your message, if you have indicated a return address.
OLAF will analyse the allegation submitted to check various elements, for example:
- whether the matter falls within OLAF’s competence to act
- whether the information is sufficient to justify the opening of an OLAF investigation or coordination case.
If you have indicated in the Fraud Notification System that you are willing to create a secure mailbox, or if you have submitted your allegation via the online webform, OLAF may contact you to obtain clarifications and/or request further information.
Upon conclusion of this initial assessment, called “selection procedure”, the Director General of OLAF will decide whether to open an investigation or not. If it is determined that the matter you have raised does not satisfy the criteria for opening an investigation, it will be dismissed. If this occurs, OLAF may inform you about this, but this is not done systematically.

Can You Make An Anonymous Noise Complaint To The Police
Recently, one of my favorite pastimes has been exploring the laws surrounding noise regulation and the way theyre enforced. Ive previously written about dealing with neighbors who are partying well into the night and ones that are playing loud music during the day. Ive even recommended contacting the authorities but is it possible to lodge an anonymous complaint?
After all, there are plenty of reasons why you may not want your name attached to the complaint. Besides, even in all my research, I havent been able to reach a satisfactory conclusion as to the state of U.S. noise regulations. So you may not even have solid ground to stand on in this case.
Still, lets break down this question point by point. Well talk about why you would even want to stay anonymous and whether an anonymous complaint would be the right move for you. But first, lets discuss if and when you should involve the police in the first place?

What Does That Mean
That means that we create creates technology that empowers sexual assault survivors, by lowering barriers to reporting, gives them access to resources and a safe space to document their experience while deciding if they want to file a formal complaint or report.
It means that we are working with community organizations to create a hub of online resources and in person support services for survivors.
It means we are working with local police services so survivors first interaction with the reporting process is on their own time and on their own terms.
It means we are bringing together local community partners so that there is a collaborative and comprehensive community response to reports of sexual assault.
It means we are doing the work so survivors dont have to.

New Public Health Order
Basically, indoor locations “where people are increasing their heart rate,” Henry said. “We have seen repeatedly, not just here, but around the world, that these are venues that we see rapid spread of this virus, even with people who don’t recognize that they are ill.”
The new provincial health orders restrict social gatherings of any size with anyone outside of your immediate household, as well as indoor group physical activities, including yoga, spin, group fitness and dance classes.
That ban also applies to indoor competitions and games where physical distancing cannot be maintained, including sports such as minor hockey. However, Henry said, “these activities can be replaced with the individual exercise of practice and drills,” as B.C. similarly permitted before the province’s restart of its sports programs, so long as it “allows everyone to maintain safe physical distancing.”
Public health officials are also recommending “in the very strongest terms” that British Columbians avoid travel into and out of the two health regions. “We need to go back to what we were doing in March and April and May, where it was essential travel only,” Henry said. That includes a ban on travelling into or outside of the two health regions for sports, for the time being.
Restaurants are permitted to remain open for the time being, on the condition that each establishment adheres to COVID-19 safety plans. If that isn’t possible, Henry suggested that they revert to take-out only service.

Summary Of The Project / Initiative / Change
This initiative is intended to provide individuals with an anonymous means to report suspicions of fraudulent activity engaged in by employees and/or management. Individuals now have a new communication channel to report suspected internal fraud and misuse through the CRA Anonymous Internal Fraud and Misuse Reporting Line administered by an independent third party contractor.
An anonymous reporting line managed by a third party is offering the additional security of being able to report suspected unethical behaviour anonymously, confidentially, and securely. By making the reporting line available to individuals, the CRA is ensuring that individuals are able to speak up with confidence. The external service provider is completely independent from the CRA, and the reporting line system resides on their own secure servers.
This method of reporting internal fraud or misuse is completely anonymous: the information individuals report will not be audio recorded or traced. If individuals are using the online system, the session is encrypted and the IP address is not identified with the report. If individuals are calling the telephone line and speaking to a live operator, the call is not recorded, nor is caller ID used. The report is transcribed by a trained operator into the reporting line system verbatim .
